Hein De Vos is an artist and filmmaker from Cape Town, South Africa.

Hein studied graphic art and photography at the Cape University of Technology in the early 90's. He's been in the advertising and film industry for the last three decades as a director and cinematographer. As an artist, his work draws the viewer into a world of texture, tone and detail, created over multiple hours with fine-liner pen on paper.

In many of his works he employs the concept of Rückenfigur and in all of his work there exists a personal bond between the artist and the subject.
